In 2000 Nicki read a few white papers on wireless technology as background for an article about wireless security she had been commissioned to ghost write for a client. The article was placed with The Wireless Developer’s Network (WDN). Responses to that article from WDN’s members was so great that its editor asked Nicki to become its European Correspondent. Nicki continued to provide them with issues based material for two more years, material that was syndicated across the wireless industry.
Named as "the most compelling writer around” by www.unstrung.com in 2000, Nicki was commissioned to write several articles for other industry publications.
Here is an example of one such article.

Foundation East is a not-for-profit provider of
local loans to local people which aims to help make East Anglia the best place
in the UK to set up or grow a business. Nicki provided marketing advice and
wrote much of the organisation’s literature during its first three years
of business. She has recently accepted an invitation to join the
organisation’s board.
Foundation East’s audience is diverse,
from councillors and NGOs, to corporate investors looking for CSR opportunities
and individuals and organisations unable to raise funds from mainstream
finance. Each audience requires finely-tuned and very different messages if
Foundation East is to fulfil its remit.
